So I know I’ve mentioned a new obsession of mine in a previous post; that new obsession being: ASMR. For those who don’t know, ASMR stands for “autonomous sensory meridian response.” It is still a relatively new creation, but it has taken YouTube by storm. It describes a feeling of euphoric tingling and relaxation that can come over someone when he or she watches certain videos or hears certain sounds.
Personally, there’s a lot of ASMR on my YouTube Recommended List. But it really does help me relax! I didn’t think it would have a profound affect on me. After all, it’s mostly whispering and tapping and all that right? But something about some of these triggers is. Absolutely. FANTASTIC.
My favorite triggers include: light, tapping (on cups specifically), makeup roleplays, water sounds, and some others that randomly appear in videos.
